The HSE stipulate that you need a written Health and Safety Policy in place if you employ 5 persons or more including yourself. This policy should state the arrangements you have in place in order to ensure the health and safety of your workforce.  The policy statement and procedures in place should be reviewed each year or sooner if:

• there are change in working practices, or;
• legislation changes, or;
• there are significant changes to your operations or the materials used;
